Prior to joining Arete, as Assistant Director for Research Strategy and Operations, Julia was an education policy researcher for the George M. Pullman Educational Foundation, a private
foundation providing low-income and first-generation high school students with merit-based, need-based scholarships and educational support. Julia has a passion for traveling and learning new languages. She speaks French and Mandarin Chinese and has previously lived and worked extensively in Europe and East Asia.
Julia received her M.A. in International Relations from the Committee on International Relations at the University of Chicago and completed her undergraduate studies in Comparative Politics and History at the American University of Paris.
